Following a period of active participation as a member of MCE System’s Advisory Board during which he helped build the company’s growth strategy, Hackl is taking on a direct role as President, bringing with him an extensive history of senior leadership within the Telecoms sector.

Prior to joining MCE, Hackl held critical transformational roles for some of the world’s largest Mobile Operator brands, including Deutsche Telekom, T-Mobile, Vodafone, and Sprint, delivering billions of dollars of shareholder value.

Throughout a successful career as a business leader, Hackl leaves behind him a track record of driving large-scale impact in highly competitive technology companies across all stages – growth, mature, and turnaround markets. In his most recent role at Sprint as a member of the Executive Team where he led Business Transformation & Analytics and Handset Financing & Insurance, Hackl spearheaded the turnaround of the $6B Handset Leasing and $3B Device Insurance P&Ls.

As former Director of Commercial Operations for Vodafone Germany, Hackl was responsible for all B2C & B2B operations spanning digital transformation, IT architecture, CX, credit policy, telesales, and customer care for the $12B German operating company. He led a team of 11,000 employees and improved operating efficiency while maximizing NPS and revenue generation.

As SVP of Channel Management for T-Mobile US, Hackl built a channel management function from the ground up, overseeing a $3.8B budget. He managed a total direct team of 300 internal Margin Managers and Analysts. He was responsible for T-Mobile’s postpaid customer base, acquisition & retention costs, distribution strategy, credit policy, and operational CRM.

As CEO of Tele2 Austria, he drove the turnaround for Austria’s 2nd largest Wireline telco with $0.5B in revenues. He managed a team 1,200 employees.

As Associate Principal of McKinsey & Company, he led a variety of complex client engagements such as enterprise-wide turnaround programs, strategic repositioning, product innovations, business model re-designs, and sales and customer experience improvements.
